Sarah
Crowe is a twenty-eight year old Sacramento native. She works seasonally at the Ahwahnee Hotel, and spends her summers managing a back country retreat in the
High Sierras of Yosemite. Sarah has many interests including photography, traveling, cycling, reading, cinema, and theater.
Lisa Millegan is the arts writer at The Modesto
Bee, an 85,000-circulation newspaper in Northern California. She covers
theater, classical music, dance and visual arts. She grew up in New Jersey
and Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon Honors
College, earning a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1992. She has been
married for seven years to Joe Scalero, an advertising agency owner. She
enjoys traveling, reading and listening to all kinds of music.
Jim Bacon is a Planner in Yosemite National Park
where he helps the park to plan for and manage visitor use. Prior to
arriving at Yosemite he served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in
Guatemala, Central America. Previous work experience also includes parks
and recreation administration and environmental and outdoor education. His
educational background is in natural resource planning and creative writing.
Originally, he came from a small town outside Buffalo, NY. His
personal interests include outdoor pursuits, the arts, and travel.
Brian Ceraban is an Architect
living and practicing in Sonora, California. He grew up in the Bay Area,
studied Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley, and
moved with his wife and business partner, Genevieve, to Sonora to live in the
beautiful land of the Sierra foothills. Genevieve and Brian are the
parents of a 4-year old son and an 18-month old daughter, and they love to
hike and camp. They enjoy spending days exploring the beauty of the Yosemite
backcountry, as well as the other wilderness areas in the Sierra mountains.
Carol Kennedy was born and
raised in Silicon Valley (before it was called that). She attended San
Jose State University majoring in Interior Design and Art, and minoring in
English Literature. She earned her teaching credential in 1971 and moved
to Madera where she taught elementary school for Madera Unified School District
for 32 years. She earned a Master of Arts Degree and a Reading Specialist
credential in 2002 at Fresno State University, and taught at Fresno State for
four years. She is married to PDG J. Gordon Kennedy and they have four
children and seven grandchildren. She is a member of Madera Rotary and has
been a member of Rotary for 12 years.
