Have you ever thought of helping those less fortunate than yourself?  If so, a local Rotary Club may satisfy your passion to serve.  Rotary clubs are located across the globe, with leadership development and community service our focus. Made up of over fifty community-based clubs, our central California Rotary district runs from Tracy to Yosemite and from Madera to Galt. Within Rotary International District 5220, it’s easy to find a club that fits your personality and schedule. We have clubs that meet on any day of the workweek, morning, noon or evening.  Many clubs meet weekly and some meet just twice per month. Some clubs share a meal, some do not.  Our district has been developed to offer versatility in ways to serve and flexibility in ways to meet, while providing our members with service opportunities that can be adapted to our members’ individual lifestyles.

Most importantly, we find fun & joy in the friendships that develop by working together.

Our clubs engage the young people in our community by sponsoring high school Interact Clubs, offering scholarship opportunities and the chance to develop into strong leaders at Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA).  Throughout our district, clubs have speech contests, mentor students on the job, and provide dictionaries to third graders.  We help fund local organizations like the Boys & Girls Club or the Salvation Army.  We work in soup kitchens and deliver groceries to shut-in senior citizens.  We clean up parks, streets, and sometimes private homes where the homeowner is unable to do so.  We support university level Rotaract Clubs and the fundraisers and projects they develop.

When it comes to “doing good” in a community, you will find a Rotary club involved.

Many of our clubs are also involved in international service and each year there are opportunities to meet internationally, engaging with Rotary members from almost any country in the world. Our members provide clean water in developing countries, we travel the world to fit a child’s first wheelchair, we administer Polio vaccines in a quest to End Polio Now (link), we supply computers, books, and school supplies, we teach the importance of peace and caring for our environment. This is what Rotarians do.

Feed your passion to serve, join (link) a local Rotary club.

Clubs are listed here and visitors are always welcome.  We are non-denominational and non-political.
